About Double Browser Solutions
As a response to the increase in targeted attacks in recent years, this product separates systems
handling important information (e.g. personal information) from the Internet, as desired by the Ministry of
Internal Affairs and Communications, the IPA, and NISC. Using virtualization technology to separate business
terminals from the Internet is a low-cost and convenient solution that also provides powerful

NISC = National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity
Implementing a double browser for connection to the Internet on business terminals logically separates them from the Internet while leaving client usability virtually unchanged, protecting business data from Internet threats like phishing sites and malware.
Using in-house system as it is
The existing intra in-company system (in-company servers) can be used just like before even after implementing the double browsers. They can be adopted without concern about the impact on how in-company systems are used or the experience of using them. The wealth of browser functions allows users the same access to the Internet as ordinary browsers.
Blocking malware intrusions
Even if a malware intrusion occurs, the double browser separates the intranet from the Internet, so the business data cannot be extracted. The business terminals and double browser servers use a special protocol for communication, preventing malware from communicating with the Internet.

Double browser solution to separate from the Internet via virtual browsers
Function 01 User session separation and
User sessions are separated and initialized to prevent malware infections. This function separates the virtual browser field launched on the virtual server for each user, and initializes when the browser closes. If a particular session still happens to be infected by malware, the other users are unaffected.
Function 02 Unaffected browser access
The virtual browser can be used in just the same way as the local browser. The user launches the virtual browser, automatically logging in to the virtual environment, and can view the Internet in the browser window just the same as a local browser.
Function 03 Simple to use
The double browser is extremely simple to use. Only a single new server is required as long as the number of simultaneous users is up to 100. By using Ericom Connect, known for its excellent control performance, three servers (assuming no redundancy) can manage all the users sessions for up to 100,000 people. Other options available are client distribution functions for business terminals, and file sharing for importing files from the Internet.
Logically separating business terminals from the Internet protects the business data from net-based threats.
