What is Alteryx Designer training?

We offer entry-level, hands-on training for new Alteryx Designer customers.
Beginner users can learn and experience workflow creation with us.

Training overview

Target audience	New users of Alteryx Designer Learning the basics of Alteryx requires no prior experience with technology or data analytics.
Level	Entry level
Time period	Two days (10:00 - 17:00)*One-day participation is also welcome.

Prerequisites/th>	Experience using Microsoft Excel functions to process data
Preparations	- Please prepare your computer for the hands-on training session. *In the hands-on training, users operate Alteryx with the instructor to learn workflow creation. - Dual monitors are recommended because the Zoom lesson and Alteryx screens will be displayed simultaneously. - Please ensure Alteryx Designer is installed and available before this training. - System requirements can be found on the Alteryx web page. - Users are supposed to use their Alteryx Designer licenses for the session. - If you do not have a license, you can download and use the trial version from the Alteryx website.

Day１　Getting Started with Alteryx

Alteryx Designer - Basics

Topics covered	1. Overview of Alteryx 2. Basics of Alteryx Designer 3. Creating your first workflow - Reading from and writing to files(Basic understanding of data) - Type conversion and field name change (for data cleansing) - Separating data into columns - Calculation (arithmetic operations and functions) - Reading multiple files - Viewing data - Summarizing data - Joining data 4. Introduction of macros 5. About self-learning content 6. Practice exercises
Learning objectives	- Get an overview of Alteryx - Create a basic workflow: including input, output, and processing - Learn basic data processing: aggregation, merging, etc.

DateTime functions in Alteryx 4. Conditional statements in Alteryx 5. Reading from and writing to Excel files 3.Practice exercises
