G.fast
Get fiber speed over copper phone lines.
What is G.fast?
Over existing copper telephone lines, the G.fast standard delivers fiber-equivalent throughput.
Despite the widespread shift to fiber, low-speed VDSL systems using copper phone lines are still used in housing complexes. By replacing the VDSL master unit, installed around the MDF, and CPEs in each unit with G.fast compatible equipment, buildings can migrate to uplink and downlink services totaling 1 Gbps, comparable to fiber.

Features
-
Affordable migration to gigabit internet system for apartments
Many apartments use VDSL over copper phone lines at speeds up to about 100 Mbps. Using these existing lines, G.fast can achieve a total of 1 Gbps uplink and downlink speeds.
-
No need for extensive fiber installation
In the past, to achieve speeds of 1 Gbps or more, it was necessary to run fiber from the MDF in an apartment to each unit, which was prohibitively expensive. G.fast uses existing copper lines and significantly reduces costs.
-
Leading share of the global DSL/G.fast market
We use G.fast equipment from Nokia, the leading supplier providing DSL products to the market for 20 years, with over 330 million lines shipped. The company was the first in the industry to release a 212 MHz-compatible product and plans to support G.mgfast with 5 to 10 Gbps bandwidth.
-
The only vendor backward compatible with Japan's VDSL2
Nokia offers backward compatibility with VDSL2 networks in Japan. There is an option to replace only the master unit and keep existing CPEs for a smooth migration at a minimal cost.
-
World-leading vectoring technology
A weak point of G.fast is interference due to multiple users. Nokia uses Bell Labs' vectoring algorithm, considered the world's best, for G.fast to prevent speed degradation and ensure stable high-speed service.
-
Japanese specifications that fit most environments in the country
Nokia's G.fast devices for Japan are designed to suit the Japanese environment with an ultra-quiet design, earthquake resistance, and salt damage resistance.
