KCME Supports Hachioji Medical Association in Tokyo to Build 24-Hour Home Care System for the Community

KYOCERA Mirai Envision Co., Ltd.

KYOCERA Mirai Envision Co., Ltd. (KCME), Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Hyngbae Kim, announces that it will provide its tablet-type monitoring tool ShiraseI Call utilizing video conferencing to the Home Care Enhancement Project (24-hour Care System Build-out) for Fiscal Year 2023 that has been commissioned by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to the Hachioji Medical Association, a regional organization in the city.

The Hachioji Medical Association has been actively working on a 24-hour medical care system where visiting physicians on duty cover the city for 24 hours and make house calls when the primary care physician is unable to visit. Since 2015, they have been running a multi-occupational collaboration network called Magokoro Net, meaning a "whole heart network", to actively work on information sharing for building a medical care system collaborating with various occupations and organizations.

As part of this initiative, the association is working on this project to enable more efficient remote monitoring of home care patients, who are expected to increase significantly in the future, using vital sensors and ICT. For this purpose, they adopted our ShiraseI Call in conjunction with other systems provided by SAN-EI Medisys Co., Ltd. (SAN-EI), Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kenji Hosomi, including its CheckMe ProB ADV and Pulse Oximeter Remote Monitoring System, which was also adopted for Tokyo's COVID-19 response. This made possible remote monitoring of vital data and emergency notification on a single tablet. Going forward, they plan to continue verification efforts towards building a more efficient 24-hour medical care system, utilizing Magokoro Net, other sensors for monitoring, accumulation, and analysis of vital data.

KCME stays committed to supporting the Hachioji Medical Association's verification efforts and aims to contribute to solving regional issues related to medical and nursing care.
